Hah! Fads.
I have always mandate the fact that social networking websites are simply a hype, a fad, and there is no point for me to join so much networks just because I eventually stop having interest in them after playing with the features.
Look at my dead multiply account, the long long login one time frenster, and now the light is on Facebook.
I have decided to boycott Facebook simply because
- my lecturer is so supportive of it, and he is operating a fad biz as wad i put it
- whats the big deal abt poking ppl on it and retyping all ur personal profile just to hola to the world abt it?
- showing up to 100 friends (of up to which 90% of them are ppl u seldom tok to in fact) that u r living ur life happily, happeningly.
now that microsoft eventually decides to buy a stake or more like, facebook saying they wish to hold our public initial offering till 2 yrs later. it sound like microsoft's ceo is eating sour grapes by saying "ooh, facebook is a hype. i rather pay 240 million and have a 1.6% equity". but seriously, me totally agree with this man. sour grapes i am not, but i am pretty sure that virtual world, virtual networks, is simply a HYPE.... ultimately how many of you heard of second life? not much i bet. and did u noe ppl can buy things online huh? using credit cards u noe?
i bet not much ppl know abt it. but gee whee, the newspapers, the ppl in this line are all making alot of hoohahs abt them. generating wad we call, a marketing gimmick. Tell me abt it, what would u tink if u would have to do interviewing process via an avatar that u create on a virtual world? that image of that avatar dun even look like u lah! alamak. get real. get real... soon enough, we will see thousands of all wu eh boh eh social networking websites sprouting out like bubble tea shops... everyone wants a piece of the pie in this man... its such an easy peasy way to make money rite? hahaha, come on my dear programming frens, lets do it! using j2ee, netbeans... WAHAHAHA. whats the innovative idea we should introduce in such webbies? *Giving porn features for ppl we see online that are hot?* TINK WU ZUN. making social networking sites to be reached out to real celebrities? HAHAHA rubbish!
i wish that making money would become a much more tangible option. give us consumers something real alright?
mood: crappy, need to rant abt this issue, fads.
